progress bar max value messed up when switching modes

Description

If a progress bar is running in one mode, you switch to another mode that also uses the progress bar, then switch back to the first, the maximum value doesn't get adjusted for the first mode and can cause an error.

  • gauge values were being incorrectly reset when switching between two modes that both had the progress bar running
